my note book is a packard bell and if loaded win7 32bit.everytime i start up it gives a errorafter it starts up.the file is possibly corrupt.the file header checksum does not match the computed checksum. |

on startup if i press f8 it gives me the option to start from hd and then it starts up on windows.but first give me the option to start on earlier version of windows or win7

then it start up with no problem.if reset default in bios.no luck.i cant seem to find the old windows file to try and delete it on c drive.its 1.2ghz,1 gb ram.it runs smooth with win7.

did you upgrade!? Or choose a dual boot at some point? Sounds like it? Choose windows 7 then once in go to advanced settings and change your boot menu, just remove the line that shows the alternate version, or use your win7 disc and choose repair mode.

best to use the disc. Unless you know what you're doing. Choose fixboot or just let it find the problem.
