I have 250gb 850 pros as boot drives and 1tb 850 pro's for games and programs along with 4tb western digital blacks . Sounds like a lot but I'm 70 percent full

These are easy to spot- the helium filled drives. All of HGST's best enterprise drives have been helium filled for some years now and their reliability is unbeatable.

Most drives are left to have normal atmosphere inside them, even in controlled plants they are rarely perfect and not airtight. Helium purges any contaminants and it massively reduces windage inside the drives as the disks spin because of course helium is so much less dense.

Ive had good luck with my wd caviar black that ive been running since 2012. Just picked up a wd 2 tb black hdd on sale to add a bit more storage.

yea heard good about wd black but its kinda expensive for 1tb, havent seen the 2 TB black..dnt even know if i can find in india, hows the 1 TB WD blue, i have a 160 gb WD hdd its like almost 8 yrs old...n no badsectors etc...pretty impressd while my 2 yr old seagate 1tb recentlty had lots of bad sectors..its like almost dead..cnt use anytng

Before i got mine i just went on newegg or amazons websites and read hundreds of reviews, good and bad. I cant comment on the wd blue, as i only ever had wd black.

Theyll end up being gone in minutes and put up on ebay at double the price more than likely...i have been seeing some good deals on two 980ti though. which has me wondering if i should upgrade to 2 980ti from my 770ftw or just wait till prices stabalize and get a single 1080.

I currently have a gtx980 but it runs out of memory at 4K , the 1080's are selling out quicker than they can stick them . I'm currently 217 on overclokers pre order list for a evga ftw 1080

I don't think the price will drop much demand is through the roof and will be for months and even then the price will settle around 600 I should inagine

They even bidding on preorders for 1080 ftw on ebay. I probably wont upgrade till fall anyways as im not on on pc as much in summer as i am in the fall and winter.
So how would one 1080 handle something like witcher3 in 4k?... And In your opinion whats better.. 4k with settings at say medium or 1080 with all settings at ultra?

Seagate junk. Most anything WD today or Toshiba are better bets. These are the only bets in the 3.5 inch market anyway if that is what you are after?

Check the reviews there are plenty online. The 1080 won't run every game at the magic 60fps at 4K but it's the best there is until the 1080ti or pascal Titan is released but these cards are going to be over 800 pound and probrably 1000 pounds plus for the Titan . Amd has nothing to challenge nvidia so the prices are going up with each gen . I would happily play medium settings at 4K much more than hi 1080p

Agree. Resolution makes the biggest impact. I choose rez over other settings anyday.
