..if Samsung continue this politics towards Note edition ('Note' 5 started this), I won't be able to call such device 'a Note', I'll take it as a 'S Edge model with a pen and a few new features' aand ONLY then could be more objective and judge of its characteristics..Somesong, pleeeze distinguish Note from the S (and Edge) models (it usually appears a few month later after S,so should have ALL new and enhanched-camera,cpu,,all all aaaall,you hear me), keep this brand at the top, like it was before; now you are selling 3 S models- a regular one, the one with round edges and the one with a pen..where is the great Note, where where oh WHERE?..

Looks like Samsung are holding back to make more money nok. They could've easily given it 128gb, 6gb ram, 6inch screen (wider would've been good) smashed the new iPhone, but why waste money making expensive phones when theyre doing so well in the market. Nokia style. Let's face it, they only have so many note users out there

saw something on TV the other day saying note users were more loyal than iPhone customers, maybe there's no pressure on them to compete against anyone.

..*sob, sigh*..yep they could, they could..weeeell, I am(was) a loyal Note user, but imho, this is not a Note aand I don't won't to buy a S-Pen for a (new price,lol) 715 Euros (in Canada)..will wait, will wait at least till November (tnx for reminding me, polo, that new Huawei Mate..9..is on the way...I could get 8 rather cheap, but I'll be patient)..

@ lew15d - 4.08.16 - 09:57am The S7 looks better with its screen in comparison to the HTC 10. I've done some side-by-side comparisons with my S7 and my brothers HTC 10. I think it's all down to personal preference, really. dont disbelieve you ive heard a lot of praise about the S7 series displays |

its been said that Samsung are launching a souped up version of the Note 7 which has 6GB of ram instead of 4GB, and 128GB of storage rather than 64GB but only for the Chinese market. but maybe your version is different to the European one anyway Polo011? because iam in the UK. http://www.techradar.com/news/phone-and-communications/mobile-phones/samsung-casts-doubt-on-the-confirmed-6gb-galaxy-note-7-1326515

I'm with Vodacom (Vodafone ZA) so chances are, whatever Voda UK gets, I will get, it will be the 64GB 4GB RAM variant. The 128GB 6GB RAM variant is strictly for China as Samsung face tough competition there, the top 5 Androids in China incl. ZTE Axon 7 and OnePlus 3 have 6GB RAM, the China market is still very much a spec sheet race, less about software and user experience. Interesting thing is that the 6GB RAM phones seem to give rather average battery life, maybe the 6GB RAM chip is still quite a power guzzler? It may explain why most OEMs have opted for 4GB RAM this year outside China. |

..true, polo - more RAM, less battery life, till now..the easiest (dumbest, lol) solution would be to put stronger battery in 128 Gb 'Note' 7, BUT way better combo of a phone with big RAM components has to be established, so all work fine (no heating, no battery loss)..

@ gameboy1 - 22.08.16 - 05:47pm You can't remove the battery, right? Nope. Thats how most phone are these days, except the LG G5 which has received many complaints due to it build quality failing. |

I can now confirm that our version has 4GB of ram and the same exynos CPU as the galaxy S7. that means I will be keeping my S7 edge and Note 4. In the past the Note has always been one step ahead in the Uk of the current Galaxy S phone but it seems Samsung have had a rethink here.

@banbury | 22 August 16 |
As I stated earlier we didnt get the Note 5 in the UK. instead Samsung thought the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus would suffice for our market.

the note 5 was no different from the S6 really. chuck in a pen and the hardware and software features for it, S6 edge is now a note 5...
