I have a 6680, from south africa. Colour of phone is silver. What product code do i use?

@guru i'm also from south africa. I was lookin on the the net and on some forums they say tht the product code can be obtained at the back of ur phone, take out the battery and look at the code number.. My 6680 silver product code is: 0526608

i modified my product code.. Becoz wen NSS read my product code it showed me a different code than the one tht was at the back of my phone.. Wen i tried to update my firmware it said latest firmware(4.04.07) installed, plz help

Hey guru n shez, im also from S.A with a 6680 n i cant get it t work, i get to the last step with the updater n it just searches n searches for new firmware n dnt find anythn. After about an hour it says the service is unavailable or my firewall is preventing the update.. My firewall is very lenient n lets most apps through. Stuck apparently where tr4sh is. Could it be the service?

@damjam wat did u set ur product code to be? And wats ur current firmware? Did u unblock NSU from the windows firewall? Btw during the update process i was using my 6680 as modem as well..

For Firewall: You must add nss to the trust zone in the firewall program(anti-virus). Even if u turn your firewall of, it stills block nss.

I dnt have th windows firewall n have avg antivirus which ive searched thru n cant find the protection apps zone.. I set my product code to the 1 on th 1st page and th 1 in trashes guide.. My firmware is v4.04.07.. Did u 2 get it done? Gawd ive wanted an upgrade forever bt everythns stopping me pmpl grrr.. I heard the new firmware leaves up to 11mb free ram on startup.

i no this mite sound dumm. but dose eney 1 no if NSS will flash a n-gage as i cant get phoenix to work due to nokia,s new pc suite, the register cleaner dont work on this pc suite version. thank for eney help or info.

Hey maasca long time no see.. Unfortunately, NSS and NSU only supports cabled connections.. and using the pop-port... I have an ngage too lol.. its been bouncing to walls and floors lately what a tough fone :D

Everything worked fine up2 the downloadin of update. It downloaded the update(25mb) n than nothing! Just stopped. Shez, damjam help... Im using my 6680 as a modem.

i also used mine as a modem.. after it downloaded the update it asked me to connect my charger to my phone n then i had to push continue, it updated n viola, done and phone restarted with the new firmware

n wtf wit the cables drivers! Wen i install pc suit, it picks up my phone. Wen i install nsu, it cant pickup my cable. Wen i choose 2install the cable driver, than my pc suit icon shows no phone connected, but im still able 2get internet.

Pcsuite lost connection to the phone but it held connection n carried on workin anyway so i just continued lol wat havnt u got right.. I know how frustratin it can be, i tried for 4days on 3diff pcs n eventually i just tried knowin it might work n might not, n it worked without error.. After downloadn th updates pcsuite still shows nothin connected but nsu asks u to put ur charger in n continue

Everytym i tried, virgin lost signal! It stopped at 21mb while updatin! I tried at 2am, thinkin less traffic. But still nothin. I did it again last nyt at 8pm! it worked! Gr8 firmware. Thanks damjam... n every1 that helped in this post.

remove pc suite, instal nss then download the latest pcsuite frm www.nokia.com/pcsuite then instal it, then open nss and conect fone, nss shud now use the pc suite drivers, thats how i did it
