Didn't any of you guys want to cheat on the old consoles such as the NES, SNES and Megadrive? I did, I used to buy the official magazines and flip though to the monthly cheats, and the 'cheat volume' books that would come with the mags. There was nothing better than being a god in a game you had been playing.

It's only been since current gen that there haven't been proper cheats... like coded into the game. Well, I suppose you have GTA, but that's about it isn't it?

I used to have an action replay for the snes, had great fun with that. One of the best codes i figured out was always have remote bombs in multiplayer bomberman, great fun in 4 player games .

Everyone with a hacked console will more than likely be banned soon. I would have thought Sony are working on some kind of detection system right now. Then again, unbaning the console might be easy

they stoped the flying about hack last time. hopefully they sort these hacks out. its ruined cod. even black ops there is a auto aiming hack wtf is going on.

I think it just means that IW would have to spend a lot of money and resources creating some kind of security/anti hacking software for a game they no longer care that much about. It would mean taking developers off their current project to work on it.

Only way Sony can solve it is by banning the hackers from PSN.. and that's what IW meant when they said it's up to Sony. a PS3 homebrew developer, mathieulh has claimed that he could unban consoles but won't be helping anyone to do so.
