You can get little jars, non-branded stuff, less than three quid. If I tried I could probably get that lot for a fiver, I'm not talking tiniest sizes of poverty brands but obviously not big sized branded stuff either.

Thing is we can buy food quite cheap i guess, if u go aldi etc but its if the person can afford food, coz theyve spent it all on Household bills, in winter someone on minimum wage cud probably spend a weeks wage jus on gas n electric for a month if not more.... Thats y food banks in the uk r on the up , coz ppl cnt afford 2 eat, n most ppl usin them r the ppl who r workin |

@ xxzeroxx - 3.04.16 - 08:34pm Minimum wage in SA is around R2400 per month. Bachelor flats start at around R1500 if you don't want to slum it. Leaves you with R900 for the month. That is R30 per day. If you don't have a car (payments at around R600 a month if you buying a piece of shyt) and need to take a taxi you are looking at anything from R5 to R30 per day depending on how far you live from work. You have not even bought toiletries or medication if you need it. You do not have any credit on your phone if you own one. You haven't got smokes or a beer. Now you need to go buy food. How much is a tin house with its own well? |

Yes it's expensive, but at least you have a phone with credit on. You smoke and have a beer or glass of wine. You have a TV, a car and decent hospitals. You do not want to end up in a state hospital in SA. They don't give a fk about you. It's just a pay check for them. I dnt smoke, rarely drink, cnt afford 2 drive, cnt afford 2 go out when i av free time ,I wasnt complainin tho was i jus pointin out stuff, i even sed previously i cnt complain coz i get by |

I jus wana point out my household bills r about 950 a month (that doesnt include buyin food), i earn about 800 a month, goes up n down dependin if my sons been off school ill etc.... I pay 55 a month on bus ticket, thats not included in before mentioned bills, i get 100quid tax creds a week, 10 of that goes in2 savins for my son, another 50 saved 2 go towards my wages for the next month 2 pay my bills that r 950, that leaves me with 40quid 2 buy food n do anythin else, like i av 2 use all of that towards 90quid a week holiday club so i can go 2 work for the next 2 weeks while my sons off school, its hard for all of us

@ xxzeroxx - 3.04.16 - 08:39pm Basically free seeing as the tin is stolen most of the time and the poles to keep the structure up is made of poles they cut off trees. We use poles here to clean our cars, work in coffee shops and as labourers. |
