The brat often calls me mum. She knows she's with me, she knows she means me, but she says mum out of habit. And she'll do it at home, or to her sister. It's just how the brain works and, in that case, doesn't mean she's thinking of the person. That said, I've never done it. In any situation, let alone an ex's name. At least, afaik.... |

I'm hopeless with kid's names. Saw a neice in a supermarket the other day and didn't even use her name for not being sure quick enough.

Hierarchy of annoyance.. Is what it is when I do it. People get called the name associated with how difficult/annoying they are being, regardless of what their actual name might be.

he hasnt done it for ages lol.but ive nearly done it lately..actually my last bf said he took it as a compliment when i accidentally called him by the wrong name,knowing how much i loved my partner before.life is fu*ked up n strange.ive been lucky to have men who knew where ive come from tbh

@ iilmadme - 14.10.17 - 11:49pm so a few times lately i have almost called my current partner by my late partner's name.i think it's because he's been poorly and im used to being a carer.it took him months to stop accidentally calling me by his ex's name and i'd just give him a  face and laugh it off hoping that he'd cut me some slack when it inevitably happened to me too lol.i was with my late partner 21 years n i could still occasionally slip up and call him my partner before him's name in a specific time of crisis..isnt life complicated lol..anyway,my question is how long would you put up with this or would you do your raving narner?This never happened to me since I didnt hav much exes..n their names weren't close...bt if I did had a man that calls me by his ex name (depending on hw much times he does it in a day) then I'll tell him hw I feel n hp it won't happened again.. If he did it while having sex then yea I can't compete with ex so its best we break up and he go back to his ex. |

I'd not be happy that's for sure. One of my buds has called me his gf name b4. I wasnt too bothered I put it down to old age
