You mean shaun morgan... And yes it is... Far superior. I honestly believe had kurt not of blown his head off... No one would care as much about nirvana.

I never did understand why people were so obsessed by nirvana. They did make a few good songs but i think the majority of their fanbase are young teens who were in college and just got into them cos its deemed to be cool by the cool people

I liked Nirvana same as the next life hating, angst laden teen. But Kurt Kobain was a terrible singer. Layne Staley all the way.

i'm not a huge fan of either but would like to point out that nirvana and seether are different genre's and the whole point of grunge was to not sound fantastic but play what you wanna, so i don't think cobain would give two s**ts about someone having a similar voice to him. the reason nirvana were so popular is they hit mainstream (somehow), and at the point there wasnt a massive amount around...

...that sounded like them (they formed in 1987). the fact that you compared seether to nirvana is stupid as it would be like someone comparing the sex pistols to bad religeon - very different styles.

sorry think i mis-read the post originality (it's eaely here and i'm hung over lol). i can see similarities in the voice but wouldnt say they are overly similar (from what i've heard of seether anyway). i do like that shaun guys growl though, shame he doesn't do it often.

They were huge before he blew his head off that just propelled the band more but if he kept going they still could of been huge its not how good a voice is its how belivable its song and cobain done that well also he could sing without gritty voice but
