maybe it's just me but seeing that and no reply getting me in a bad mood all too often

I might have to remove mine, I only have one person on it, that can contact me elsewhere.

yup I use it... wouldn't call it social media though... I like it.

doesn't bother me... I just assume that they are busy and will get back to me when and if they feel it needs an answer.

Its not jus u...I get upset when it happens...if the person have time to read it, then few secs to say something will be great! Most don't remember after reading it unless u ask. I hate it

It's not down to me when someone answers. Man you people get annoyed by some trivial stuff. People will take time for all manner of reasons. Maybe they need to check other information first, or just ponder, or are too busy for anything other than a quick reply and wanna write more.. who knows.

totally... and some messages don't really warrant a reply.... I have sent messages and seen them being read and only a few days later get a reply... my one cousin loves doing that lol.. it shouldn't bother anyone... that's a problem some ppl have... they don't realise your phone is for your convenience and not theirs...

You can drag the screen down, read the message then swipe off the screen and they don't know it's read

crafty i usually just view the phones system notification it gives a brief of the message then can decide if its worth reading and attending to or just chit chatter . But gotta be careful not to click it or it will open wahtsapp and check it as read.
