To be honest i think a national lockdown is what's needed in the UK right now as Covid cases are rising every day and things are getting much worse. These local tier lockdowns are not working.

it hurts me a little bit to say this, but if it's actually true (as wakeup suggests) that cases are going up but deaths are going down quite a bit and hopefully serious hospitalisations too, we shouldn't have another lock down.

I don't know that this is actually true, I wouldn't trust any of his sources as far as I could throw them. it's still a question well worth asking though.
