Trump got elected because he had better policies on economic reform and immigration as opposed to Hilary who literally advocated open borders at one point. If the democrats keep their previous tendencies up, another Trump will show up in no time. lol. |

if you polled trump voters, do you think it's his economic reform policies people will have been won over by ? policy in general doesn't seem to be a big thing in America over all. for decades elections always went the way of the candidate who spent the most on TV advertising. 2016 changed that, not by raising the bar of discourse. |

I think so. Besides the whole narrative about building a wall to increase socioeconomic well-being of the states, the promise of withdrawal from the Paris climate accord and the Iranian deal, alongside the greatest tax simplification and reduction since Reagan, especially with his promise to lower the corporate tax rate and bring in huge tax cuts for working Americans definitely won over millions of votes to his side. TV advertising only promoted these policies. I doubt advertisement alone on its own merit that only appeared fancy would win votes. |
