Stupid Dream I am a fan of, but mostly due to the time I bought the album etc, an certain events that occured around then. It was different due to new label, and the band finally being a band etc, I know signify was too, but that was a lot darker and still more Wilsonesque

I like ''Stupid Dream'', i had it in CDR for few years, and one year back i bought the CD/DVD 2006 reissue from InsideOut site. Very good reissue with different cover and slipcase. As for the ''Hatfield And The North'', its a classic and great band and their 2 albums are highly recommended for any serious Prog collection. I have the excellent reissues from 'Esoteric Recordings' (2009)

Yeah true re Tool, they do seem to make the same essential album each time but sometimes certain songs reveal themselves in surprising ways after not listening to them for awhile...I also like Stupid Dream, apparently it was a conscious effort by Wilson to make a 'pop' album to try out that style of writing...I would say the product isnt quite that but its definately one of the easier PT albums to listen to

Mastodon - Leviathan...These guys must be one of very few exceptional metal bands that are still viewed favourably and have that ''cool'' factor in wider mainstream audiences. This album from 04 is a blistering affair from start to almost finish.Opening with the unforgettable riff of Blood and Thunder moving through the rhythmically complex I Am Ahab to the twisted Seabeast and working thru to the epic Hearts Alive this album shows that metal can still be interesting and not lose its

bite...The final track Joseph Merrick contains some great acoustic guitar work together with the type of organ sound that would sound at home on a vintage Uriah Heep song.Certainly something fresh and different in 2004 i would imagine

yeahg dean i listened toOn the Sunday of Life quite a few times, it's interesting , patchy, some tracks really made me sit up and take notice.. pt have really evolved since then and long may they continue doing. I'm actually listening to some of John Wesley's album Shiver.. quite alt-rock.. or should that be RAWK since he's American ..

yeah i can hear the more american roots music in there, he's got a great tender yet rocky voice, enjoyable so far
