They are no good to me. I suppose we could use them as safety cones. Chain a bunch together to make movable barriers.

What even is this question? Most wheelchair users I've known have worked and in far more skilled positions than stacking shelves at a fu*king supermarket.

@ ogdenz - 28.04.22 - 11:22am If you asked 100 wheelchair users what do you do for a living, are you in work? what percentage would reply with yes I am gainfully employed? I don't know many but I haven't known any that are unemployed... they are more likely to be employed than an able bodied person. |

@ ogdenz - 28.04.22 - 11:09am How many wheelchair users do you see in work? Do you know any? Why don't we see them stacking the lower shelves in supermarkets or working the tills? well economically it makes no sense in employing them to stack lower shelves firstly, why? Because then you would have to employ 2 ppl to do one job... also, how are they supposed to be pushing about this huge carts and lifting all that stuff, bending to get the stuff to load the shelves.... there are some jobs that just aren't suitable for some ppl, no matter how badly we want to scream equality.... wouldn't find a blind person being a driving instructor or cab driver either. because some jobs for some ppl with certain disabilities just aren't feasible at all. common sense is all you need to know this |
