@ trunking - 18.12.23 - 10:27pm No food, water and electricity sure isn't a nice way to live. You then meant nowadays in war situations.. While this is true, (1) Borders are closed and very limited number is allowed get out (e.g. injured people, and after Israeli approval of names). (2) Absolutely NO gurantee that Israel will allow them get back home once this is done. Army announced in the past something in this context. |

@ trunking - 18.12.23 - 10:14pm Still think life is better outside of Gaza. It's not worth living there. not as easy as that. leaving everything you own, everything you know, going where? to what? Immigration isn't easy, there is a lot of criteria to be met, you as someone still living in this sh*thole of a country should know that. you need to be an 'aanwins' to a country, have something they need, be independent money wise and healthy. |

@ miaiad - 18.12.23 - 08:51pm one by one and in brief.. --- funeral services? there's currently no funeral services... could be limited in south of Gaza strip only. In Gaza city and northern Gaza, when anyone killed, then your time is very limited get him/her buried. Israeli army was targetting one cemetry in northen Gaza as well, and the main one in Gaza is clode to east borders so nobody is currently being buried there. Many people, instead, bury the killed ones in open lands or garders. believe it or not, my parent were buried in an open small garden in front of my brither in law house (with hope, once this done, they can move them to cemetry) ![]() Also, Egypt Gaza borders are now closed and nobody allowed in... It was open few days only in the past but only for people in north sinai and cairo, not from overseas can cross. Also, imagine you go in then get stuck for long time, how tough would that be ![]() I'm sorry. not being able to bury a loved one with dignity is horrible. |

@ miaiad - 18.12.23 - 09:16pm The Palestinian girl from the Gaza Strip, Donia Abu Al-Hassan, wished to become a doctor who treated children, but a missile fired by the Israeli occupation at her bed in Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis, south of the Strip, assassinated her and that dream with her. Donia (13 years old) was receiving treatment at Nasser Hospital after her legs were amputated, following a raid that targeted her family home, which led to the death of her parents and two of her brothers. According to what the doctor at Nasser Medical Hospital, Muhammad Zaqout, revealed to the camera of Al Jazeera correspondent Wael Al-Dahdouh, Donia was sleeping in her bed in the maternity building at Nasser Hospital when a tank shell penetrated the ceiling of her room, hitting her directly in the head. He said that her brain was scattered on the wall. Dr. Zaqout stated that the Israeli enemy did not warn the hospital, and did not provide any evacuation order, stressing that the clashes between Palestinian resistance fighters and the occupation forces were taking place in Khan Yunis, and not in the area where they were located. He described what the occupation army committed against the child, Donia, and against Nasser Hospital, as a heinous crime, and said that it was a clear message that the hospital had also become a target. -------------- Just one story of 100s that beyond imagination ![]() It's no way to live, for children to grow up. when civilians are purposely targeted, no matter where, it's terrorism. I realise there will always be casusalties of war, but wilfully targeting civilians / children will always always be terrorism to me. |

@ alanball - 19.12.23 - 08:28am BBC presenter says the 'Israeli forces are not discriminating between those who are Palestinian and those who are Christian.' They're all Palestinian. ![]() The Prime Minister of the UK has just refused to say or acknowledge that the Israeli attacks on Gaza have been indiscriminate and have killed a disproportionately high number of civilians, despite having the appalling figures read out to him in the Parliamentary Liason committee he sat for today and reminded that on more than one occasion he has condemned Russia when they have killed innocent civilians in both Ukraine and in Syria, and they didn't kill anywhere near as many as Israel, even when Russia was levelling certain Ukrainian cities recently. |

Israels offensive has destroyed over two-thirds of all structures in northern Gaza and a quarter of buildings in the southern area of Khan Younis, according to an analysis of Copernicus Sentinel-1 satellite data by Corey Scher of the CUNY Graduate Center and Jamon Van Den Hoek of Oregon State University, experts in mapping damage during wartime. In just over two months, the offensive has wreaked more destruction than the razing of Syrias Aleppo between 2012 and 2016, Ukraines Mariupol or, proportionally, the Allied bombing of Germany in World War II. It has killed more civilians than the U.S.-led coalition did in its three-year campaign against the Islamic State group. The Israeli military has said little about what kinds of bombs and artillery it is using in Gaza. But from blast fragments found on-site and analyses of strike footage, experts are confident that the vast majority of bombs dropped on the besieged enclave are U.S.-made. They say the weapons include 2,000-pound (900-kilogram) bunker-busters that have killed hundreds in densely populated areas. [From AP] AP Report ![]() |
