I've just discovered a great artist I'm really interested in listening to more and buying some music on CD format or Vinyl. By the name of Hugh Masekela.

You will need a seperate phono amp for the Cyrus but you are looking at building your own anyway. The Cyrus will blow away the Cambridge Audio amp any day. It is always great when you discover a new artist, broardens the music collection.

I only recently got into Mew Model Army, but I like to discover new music from support acts, especially when I have been to see the Levellers live.
If you enjoy your music, it is only right you listen to it through a good sound system to do it justice. |

I went into pound land in Dunstable last week and found excellent bargains on CD Albums. Refurbished albums for only 1 pound!!! I found 10 albums i wanted, they are wrapped in plastic like new. Apart from the booklet having a few marks on the edges and one of the cases had a crack in the middle the actual CD's were in perfect condition. So take this tip from me and check out the CD rack in pound land when you're in town, you will find some great stuff

I replaced my mp3 album of ''Maze and Frankie Beverley compilation'' with the CD last night. It sounds easily 1000 percent better.

A new compilation album popped through my letterbox today. I originally got it as MP3s and now on CD. It's called... James browns original funky divas. Featuring the females that stared with James Brown during his acts. They were all artists in there own right too.

@ usbcable - 14.10.15 - 12:57am You can easily hear the difference between a 320kbs mp3 and a uncompressed audio file or lossless flac using very good quality hifi systems or very good audiophile headphones. You might not be able to tell in a night club or concert because those big speakers produce greater distortion levels than decent hifi speakers and typically a graphic EQ is used to compensate for the room causing resonances at certain frequencies. Nope, i heard a dj playing a 320kbps file and loseless one and the concern with the former is that, it is soft, rough and sounded very unpolish, like it wasnt remastered properly. I knew straight away the tunes he was playing isnt uncompress. |
