My friend made some tracks and burnt them to cd, he gave away a few copies, and a company that makes cd players were impressed at the sound quality, they used it as a reference for demos to customers, they raved on about the fantastic sound stage etc...,they didnt know the whole cd was recorded using a cheap guitar lead, and v.cheap audio interconnect cables , 5pound each ![]() |

recording studios are a bit like the meat farm. The buying public cant see or hear how the end product has been treated before hand... ![]() |

@ wettoast - 12.04.15 - 11:20pm one of my tweeters has broke on my mordaunts ![]() I couldn't find any on the official MS site, but Ebay has replacement Mordaunt Short tweeters, the only problem is that every time I paste the link it redirects to the Ebay home, but if you search Ebay for 'Mordaunt Short Tweeters' it'll take you to the relevant page. |

can't get to the tweeter without mashing the front of the speaker though ![]() |

d*mn, that's very unusual from a serious speaker manufacturer, there's almost always access to the woofer and tweeter by removing the back of the speaker even when there aren't screws through the units themselves - I can only advise the fairly obvious of Googling your model number followed by 'tweeter replacement' and hope someone's had the same problem.

Has anyone had any experience or own a turntable made by pro-ject audio. It seems they are rated very highly and very affordable.

@ usbcable - 16.08.15 - 12:24am Has anyone had any experience or own a turntable made by pro-ject audio. It seems they are rated very highly and very affordable. I haven't owned one personally, but every review I've ever seen (including the most respected hi-fi mags) have been most enthusiastic. |

I have a raspberry pi 2 running OSMC (media centre) with the IQaudIO pi DAC plus board added to it. The DAC is a 32 bit, upto 192khz per channel sample rate and made by Burr Brown/Texas Instruments. Connected to the raspberry pi's USB ports I have a Samsung blue ray/ DVD/CD reader and a hard disc, a wifi dongle, an infra red remote and a wireless keyboard. Also a 7 inch monitor for the screen. The sound quality from the pi DAC plus board is absolutley awesome. It only costs 30 pounds yet it sounds like a DAC costing a thousand pounds.
