personal experience, plus theres a bit of hoopla about it on the t mobile, orange and skype forums from users getting the same thing, only seems to be these 2 networks just now. im with tmobile with a galaxy s2 just like you and it hasn't worked for me since tuesday, even with a couple of reinstalls

just suddenly kicked me off saying my username wasn't recognised, then after that i'd try to log in and after a minute or 2 of trying, it would say something about checking with my network provider. i know its not the signal as i have full bars and H+ connection

latest update, and i'm using the stock lp7 firmware. theres a thing on the orange support thing saying that using skype over 3g is no longer allowed, only wifi. t mobile are part of the same company now so they must be doing the same thing

Like i said baggy, its not affecting me. Im using tmobile contract. And I'm not one to tell fibs. Its not fair misleading others if you're not 100 per cent sure, that's being naive. If skypes working here, it will do elsewhere.

Baggy, not that i want to state the obvious here, but that link brings up the following question - '' how do I use the Skype application with my iPhone?''.... Apple/android different platforms, unless theres a similar topic in the android section on oranges website?

i got that link from a post in the skype forums, it makes sense that if orange block 3g skype connection on more than just one type of phone, it's a network thing, not a specific handset thing

Have you tried resetting the password for your skype account on the phone itself? Ive read that some people are experiencing issues since recently updating skype on their pc.

Right, looking around the net a few people have had positive results updating the internet settings provided by orange. This may be an outdated apn for instance. Go to http://help.orange.co.uk/orangeuk/support/personal/199965 and grab the settings for your network there.

yeah, same thing keeps popping up, telling me to check my mobile network settings, as soon as i turn wifi on it logs in with no problems and just kicks me off as soon as i switch back to 3g

i guess with tmobile and orange being run by the same company and sharing a lot of stuff, i guess it wouldnt be too much of a problem to use their apn settings would it?
