What's a blat?

Niiiiice! There was a big server crash a few weeks ago bob, the site went down for a whole day and lot's of pics(from the last year) were lost as one of the hard drives was corrupted, the pic posting problems are probably something to do with that.

A blat = a drive(probably at high speed). Eg. I'm taking the caterham out for a blat in the countryside, i'll be back by teatime.

My guess would be no. A caterham will match or even beat them off the line and is good through the twisty stuff but would get mullered on top speed.

They had camara car so we're just taking pics up on Blakely ridge .
Caterhams great for whipping round a corner at silly speeds (semi slicks) then hitting 80-90mph in a few seconds ... But that's it that's my wall
Lift off at 90 some times 100mph if it's not too bumpy and I'm left stareing at long straights thinking Oh cr*p !
These two wouldnt even think of that as a set off yet , probably just half way up the power band before whooosh 100 turns to 120 , 130 , 140 planted like glue already planing to brake at the end of the long long straight that taking me so long the brakes on that Porsche man they were massive .
I soon ditched Blakely ridge with its long straights for all the moors side roads that look more suited to group B rally cars not the best choice for a 100 k plus exotic that you have borrowed .

last week a lotus esprit , Cayman , 80s Quattro and a tvr Griffin all on a hoon , a McLaren mc12 the other direction then the high light a DB9 roof down YUMPING !!!!! A crest coming the other way , brand spanking new too , massive fella in it , waving and smiling like a idiot at the site of the caterham while all four tyres were off the tarmac WTF !!! The Caterham will be the most fun, even the base model with it's 3-cyl engine! I'd love one, wouldn't even need big power. I can imagine something like a 1.4 K-Series or 1.6 Ford Kent being best for pushing hard on the twisties, just how i like my blats.

I've got my Polo under 700kgs now, but it's still only hot-hatch performance. I can play with Z4s and older Boxters but it's not in Caterham league and never will be (even though passengers can sleep in it at three-figure speeds..) Power to weight beats an Elise 111R but FWD brings it down a level or two.

Got smoked at the lights by a new bmw 3 series the other day no badges think it was a 330i .... Don't like straights no more

Sold centre mirror for 85 quid tho (just blocks front view)
Going to see about getting the black exhaust heat shield dipped in carbon effect . Purely aesthetic .
Still have a 100 quid in my car kitty was going to get a rolling road session booked but I mite save that 100 in case of emergency.
Not a very sociable car , hate passengers ! There heavy dramatically effect performance and you can't here or talk to them so basically just go out to the moors alone for a few hours if it's a nice night .... Is that a bit odd ?

Book a track day when you not far off new tyre time That's what I do. I ruin what's left of them and replace them later that day haha

Theres a go kart track on skippers lane boro about ten mins from me , it's massive for a gokart track they hold drift events and track days .
The straight is good for 80mph ..... But I've just found out two Mondays a month 3pm - 8pm they have open pits test session 35 QUID !!!!! zero sound restrictions too .
Has to be the cheepest track time in the land .

Only three pays till xmass tho so even 35 quid mite be tight lol . I'd need insurance too

I usually go to cadwell park, it's a proper old school circuit tight and twisty and bumpy. Probably a little too much for a lightweight.
