I think there is no antivirus avilable for a java phone.

exactly gtr, and I don't see the point in creating an anti virus for a phone that can't get viruses.

Well from a reasonable point of view,what explanation can u guys give 4 d hanking of d fone.if nt almighty my VIRUS.so i dont buy d idea dt java fone can get virus.

Java phones are designed in such a way dat the viruses cant find their way in to the FS.

And besides, even if your phone does get a virus, it cant do anything to your phone and is removed by putting your phone into file transfer mode and scanning your phone from your pcs antivirus

There is actually an both virus java app, you can find it on mobango.com, search 4 sony ericsson both virus u wil find it, but like the other ppl in ere have said java phones cant get viruses, (aachoo) lol so the app is useless lol

hey my fone is uiq3 it gets virus whenever i upload files from my system, as my computer got virus . As u all said I accept java fones dnt get virus. but P1i is exception. it locks my inbox often. i m formatting my set once in 3 months. Dnt think its useless.

yes, a java antivirus is useless. as for uiq3, yeah it is an exception.

I had a k800i and it caught a virus that made the phone turn itself on and off continuously thus making it inoperable. I just bought a W910i and got anti virus from dreamobile better safe than sorry

That was probably a bug in your firmware rather trhan a virus

I wish it had been, however, just before i switched my phone off i was on the net and every time i tried to access a page a strange error message came up something like the new child cannot replace existing child. So i switched my phone off and that was the end of my phone. But you believe what you like. I know it was a virus, albeit due to my downloading free cr*p!

Lol n everybody else knows it wasn't a virus. A child error like what u got is prob from bad coding on the site. Annoyin might, crash ur phone but wudn't damage it permanently. If ur phone died then it was from some other fault.

As i said it was when i tried to access any site even bookmarked ones. Why is it so hard to acknowledge that phones can get viruses and it doesnt matter if its java or symbian. When you download it could contain anything. I had the phone for six months and downloaded over 400 songs for free so if there was any way to fix it i would have even mobile repair shops knew it was a virus.

If you still think im a dumba55 then google it and you will have further evidence to what i have said. Also the error message wasnt like a normal one i.e status code 500 etc.

Code 500 is couldnt find the server and nothing to do with your phone hahahahahaaha

There are also thousands of sites selling fake anti virus for pc, they've got thousands of so called reviews n look real but it doesn't mean they are. Have u tried emailing or ringin sony ericsson n seein what they say? Will be same as here.
