Yes. That's  2,000 a year back to every taxpayer in Britain, on average, and private insurance would cost like a tenth of that. So instead of paying for a massively bloated, abused and corrupted system i could spend even more of my money looking after myself instead.

I have never had anything but an excellent service from the NHS and it has cost basically fu*k all.

do not destroy the NHS, ever.. It was only founded in 1947 ffs... We should be loudly supporting it, successive govs are dismantling and sneakily privatising it

As thankful as I am for it. It's been falling to sh*t... I dunno whose fault that is but I wish they'd just fix it. Waiting months for vital screening or appointments is exhausting and stressful. They're still denying me medication because someone, some where, up there, won't close loopholes that allow their pharma pals companies to exploit costs |

It is ridiculous, for example.. all the money that goes in to cancer research through charity and then the pills are too dear for some? If your hospital is in the 'red' and can't afford it? shocking....
