The iPhone will be released in South Africa, India and a few other countries later this year thanks to a deal Vodafone have signed with Apple. Finally! |

and I take it the only way to get it to work is by having them unlock it or do it yourself. Id rather have one that works properly regardless of unlocks and one that allows me to upgrade my firmware without worrying about it getting bricked. This is an official release.

azariah im a Nseries S60 user as wel but wouldnt mind an I-Phone as a spare phone. There is absolutely NO DENYING that the i-Phone's Safari Web Browser is THE BEST Web browser built-in to a phone. Ndrau, yep sum places have been selling them here in SA but no network did.

Erm ndrau the iPhone has not been officially released in SA yet. Look anywhere on the internet and it will tell you that. Sure, some people may import them and sell them unlocked, but that is not a local release and Apple do not support them. Anyway, we're getting the iPhone 2 on July 20th.
