No, just Wifi because I don't live in a 3G area so need to waste the extra money. @Akash. It really is amazing. It is PERFECT as I wanted something in the middle of my iPhone or iPad and my HP Elite laptop. Some things I have to use the lappy for, but, most I don't.

not sure i see the point in the ipad myself, i kinda consider it a luxuary item, not really necessary, just wanted. its kinda like a big ipod touch in my eyes

And today I'm wearing a lovely black printed tee, black and red T.R.I.P.P.'s, and black boots. No, dtwillia it is totally unneccessary-as are iPods. I already have found where its useful-to me. And as it was my money that was spent, thats what matters.

i use my ipod daily lol i guess i kinda see it as a coffee table type device that'll rarely leave the home. lol i'm not trying to argue, just saying

I never got around to some of the cool stuff. The book reading is INCREDIBLE-hands down! The page flipping is nice and works in the Kindle app, too-if you enable it under settings. The speaker sound is much, much better than the iPod. Its very comparable to the sound of when I connect my iPod to the Panasonic speaker dock I have.

Games are really cool. My iPhone games rendered perfectly when resized and much more enjoyable on the big screen. Watching vids are, as expected, a very enjoyable experience-esp. in HD. No lag, no issues.

Some new owners have had wifi connectivity issues, but, luckily I've not. I use Apple Airport Extreme and Apple Airport Base Station, so that may be why I haven't.

My Apple wireless keyboard arrived today and connected right off. I can see the iPad replacing my laptop about 90 percent of the time with the keyboard. It also connected seamlessly with my iGO foldable keyboard-so I'm totally portable, when away from home-though the Apple keyboard is thin and totally carryable. Doesn't work with my Magic Mouse-I expected that would be the case, though.

I also wanted a stand and ordered the ''official'' dock, but, it won't be here till next week. I picked up a metal paperwork stand in the Office section of a local store and it works great. I did, of course, cover it with some felt because I don't want scratches on my device. It works portrait or landscape, securely and only set me back about 3.00 USD-a bargain considering most iPad stands are 30.

I am totally happy with my purchase. In my opinion, its not a frivolous purchase. It is a neat device, completely usuable in the way a net book would be. I will use it day-to-day and have.

I even used it today for weekly grocery shopping. I used 2 apps to plan my menu all week. a third made me the shopping list, threw the iPad into the folio type case and did my shopping while my grocery IQ app kept up with the cost-including tax. I wholly recommend the iPad and feel that Apple has yet ANOTHER winner.

Yes, I did. I had some people actually stop to ask what it was and they were all ''Wow!'' and most had heard of it and had wondered about it. Why shouldn't I use it as intended? I do believe you are jealous-just because you can't afford one is no reason to be ugly to me. Just stop wasting your money on Android stuff if you want Apple.

I got it for 485.00 usd, which was 15.00 less than online and 65.00 less than at the store. And the gentleman I bought it from hand delivered it to me, which was nice because I live 40 miles from the nearest city.It was still in the sealed box. He bought one for himself, one for his girlfriend-who then broke up with him, so he sold it.
