Regards the dropping one that could happen to any phone tbh. The other problems seem to be widespread to the U S. Haven't heard of many people with the problems over here yet, glad I waited off though until next month

I can't seem to be able to hold myself from getting one but will wait for now. Let's see.

Atleast the yellow staining isn't that big an issue as people thought, as I said before just glad I held off for now. Hopefully these problems will have been addressed by the time I get mine

I don't understand how some people can't replicate the reception problem ![]() |

I am rather sceptical about the scaremogering considering that these complaints are prior to the launch which was only yesterday. That tells me that those in use are prototypes and not the finished product. However apple has fabulous customer service so I am sure any problems found will be corrected.

You forget (rather conveniently) xvansx, that ALL devices have issues at launch. Thats why there are firmware updates. You just love to dis anything Apple related........very weird person.

@ witch1 it does seem to be a hardware problem, I doubt a software update will fix it tbh. Steve Jobs isn't doing himself any favours by telling people to hold it differently

I agreebit most likely is a hardware problem, but, Apples customer service is really good so the issues will be resolved, in time. It's my understanding, from what I've read, that it comes from how you hold it and the little bumper things fix it.

I know witch1 but you shouldn't have to buy a bumper to rectify the problem, they are 25GBP!!! Steve knew about this problem, I agree their customer service is second to none but do you really think they are going to recall over a million units? Also the official statement release telling people to buy a bumper or hold it differently is ridiculous

Personally I'm going to wait a month or so before I put my hand in my pocket.. As far as I'm concerned those that have purchased their iPhones should be satisfied with the end product, if there were problems I do believe it's unacceptable that it's been released if the units can be rectified, I can see how it looks like another money making scheme, however as dani says, apples CS is great.

I hardly call an easily fixable problem a ''huge black mark''. Every single electronic ever made, released, and sold will have glitches. It's not a matter of if it will have a glitch as much as how the company will deal with it. Tell me just one product that's been released that was absolutely perfect on it's release date. Even android has it's problems.

If android (or nokia, or Sony, or windows, etc) were perfect there wouldn't be updates and hot fixes. Just head to xda to see the hundreds of custom roms for ''perfect'' HTC devices lol.

@ witch I love Apple as much as the next person but I'd be seriously p*ssed if I'd bought an iPhone 4 and had reception problems. Saying that though I think people are actually looking to replicate the problem now, in everyday usage we don't hold our phones like that. Some people are even managing to replicate it on 3G and 3GS, weird. Try as I might though, I can't ![]() |

@ xvansx it's not about agreeing with you, I think it's a problem yes but I also think your going a little bit over board with it tbh

Adiy, I would be livid if I had that problem, too. But, it will be fixed-if it exists. I just find it hard to believe it is as widespread as chuckles is making it out to be, especially since it was released two days ago.

Also.. With all due respect.. It's nice to know the latest on what's going on.. However what always happens is people focus on the negative and not the positive..
