Im into Jazz too of course, im listening almost all the Jazz styles. And dont forget that the most prog music is the Jazz. Now, if you want only acoustic Jazz guitarists, go and buy few albums from Mr Bireli Lagrene. THE acoustic guitarist, you'll not believe what this guy plays with an acoustic guitar. His music is very close to Django Reinhardt's style. If you want electric guitarists, just ask here, the catalogue is huge

Well, check these names, old and new: Scott Henderson, Frank Gambale, Allan Holdsworth, Pat Metheny, George Benson, Larry Carlton, Charlie Hunter, John Scofield, Brett Garsed, T.J. Helmerich etc etc...

All very good recommendations . Also check out Egberto Gismonti and Antonio Forcione, but if you're a big fan of jazz guitar, I must suggest you try out some Kora (Toumani Diabate would be a good place to start) You'll never hear tones like that coming off a guitar.

Frank Gambale is many things, and for sure one of the best el. guitarists around. Mainly a fusion guitarist
