Well if you're in an active link kinda mood they never hurt..  but no - it's so simple just to drag the stylus over a link, even if it's a page long, that no link presents any problems, but thanks bro. A screensaver app anyone? I've found stand-alone ones like The Tribe but no app.

just a thought, you might still need link shorteners if your original link contains certain punctuation that Pro doesn't allow, eg: ampersand, double apostrophe or percent.
