1) No file access-nope, nada, nothing. Microsoft thinks we're too stupid for file access.Never mind most of us can make a better operating firmware than they can. (2) IT IS FUGLY! I mean, ewwwww, ouch, puke, ugly.

According to the emulator I played with today....No Flash, no overwriting, no customizing UI. So, begs the question.....APPLE ANYONE? MS has sold out the serious users and ripped off iPhone.

Thank you, polo. Azz, I've used winmo since you were a toddler. I cooked my own ROMs for my wizard, touch pro 2, and my hd 2. I am p*ssed off. I have 2 iPhones and they are nice. I am p*ssed off that MS has destroyed what was a great platform.

I'd agree with most of your points witchy from OUR perspective, however the success of the liephone shows that in general the vast majority of people don't mess with their devices system, and prefer style over substance. Hence although I think it'll suck huge quantities of dead penguin d*ck, it'll still sell.

I don't think it will do well because the market they are trying to tap is already saturated. The iPhone really has the consumer market pretty much cornered. Android is making small inroads into that market, but, not huge ones.

IF MS could've done this, say 3 years ago, they might've had a chance. Its too little too late. Android share will explode with the release of w7s because of the migration of people like myself to Android from winmo.

Ooh matron! . Actually we're both Symbian traitors aren't we? But the same sort of thing was happening to symbian too - if WinMo does become as closed-off as you suggest I'll jump ship again at the next upgrade, being tied to an operating system is as stupid as only eating chips really.

We are now cooking FWs in S60v5, there must be like 7 or so 5800xm FWs based on V40, and sum are just tweaking the fw for themselves. Anyway back to the topic, WP7 is even worse than liephone as it lacks thngs that were even added to liephone,and with iPhone4G near by, WP7 may fall even further behind.
