Mines a day out when i was two or three years old, a country type park somewhere with my whole family. My mum and dad were young happy and in love, me and my step siblings were happy. I've got a photo of us all sitting on the grass, i love it

maybe getting a budgie for my birthday.. All of my childhood was pretty idyllic. My Nan lived 6 doors away, my Godparents next door to her. I could wander around and visit them.

And our holidays in Cornwall. Strolling along, eating an icecream, and seeing my mum and dad holding hands.

driving to scarborough for the second time with my colour tv on my lap all the way for my spectrum when we got there. those days i had no worries.

holidays in Wales. Mum driving, dad getting up lost and shouting at mum 'i didn't mean left, i meant right.', like it was her fault for not realising. The summer of 76. The long hot one. Playing in the fields and woods from morning to dusk. Not a care in the whole world

Ouch. 76 heralded the end of my happy childhood.

ah, the speccy 48. Waiting 20 minutes for the cassette to load jet set w*lly. Or spending 4 hours typing basic to play a game that was printed in a magazine. Simple pleasures

I used to like Sunday night tea. We'd have sandwiches and pickled onions, and we didn't have to sit at the table! How daring! Lol

And 'listen with mother' on the radio whilst my mum did her ironing.
