A few times, yeah. Usually fingers. My first thought has usually been ''Shit! You fkn didn't!'' Or similar. Reasons, well, usually either using a blade to cut something I've got in my hands and slipped, or hit my hand on something sharp. |

i have never but i imagine it is a hell of a place to be inside to do it. i guess the pain gets so much inside u want to let it out.. or it is to take the attention away from the pain inside. it is a pain I couldn't imagine but can understand.

It's a mental health issue usually is because of some form of abuse or trauma,it is a way to control the built up issues that cutters can't speak about,I've supported somone who had done it her arms were horrific with scars.

I will admit to having done it. Not on my arms though. I did on my head where it wouldnt be visible. With a stanley knife. As ladibud described earlier is fairly accurate as far as reason goes,i was going through a hellish time and in those moments of physical pain,it took away from the other. Juvenile in many ways,and obviously very self destructive/negative,but at the specific time,it helped in some way. I have some obvious scarring where my hair no longer grows which i did not consider at the time. |

It's not a rush when people are so desperate and want to hurt themselves, show some compassion maybe post RIP topics.
