So who's been to a music festival where you camp. And then just leave your tent. An article yesterday in one of the newspapers showed tent city at readings music festival. The article did a poll with party goers to ask what they assume would happen with the tents. Most said they'd go to the homeless. Unfortunately it's not the case. All the tents go to landfill which means more pollution. So it brings me to my next question... how are you trying to be sustainable Yesterday I brought bees wax covers instead of using cling film What are you all doing or trying to do to be sustainable... |

Of course I leave my tent and have never once assumed that it didn't go to the dump. I would be properly pissed off if they donated it to a tramp.

Lazy bastads, after each festival an enforced clean up should be implemented and nobody should be allowed to leave until the area is spotless.

Have you seen them trying to drive home? Most festival goers are barely able to put their pants on the right way around, on the sunday. As if they're gonna battle with the multi-dimension aspects of getting a tent in a pouch. |

Its not difficult , they sign for their tent pitch area on arrival or online and leave a deposit, once the festival ends the clean up starts, their small tent area is their responsibility and it must be returned to how it was when they arrived, pack away tent, take any litter left to the skip area that all sections will have and go home, if for any reason they dont do this then they lose the deposit and are blacklisted so can't attend anymore festivals.
