Wow, did that guy just basically admit that the US regularly and deliberately engages in false flag events(aka ''crisis initiation'') to justify US participation in wars? I think he did. The Washington Institute for Near East Policy was brought to you by AIPAC(American Israeli Public Affairs Committee). Henry Kissinger is on their board of advisors. |

the one from Vietnam he mentioned is widely referred to a false flag, I've heard that it just didn't happen. obviously the Lusitania sank and Pearl Harbour was bombed. |

It's all sales talk really ,is it not ...gotta sell the idea first ,folks ... I've mentioned before the absolutely ridiculous situation whereby Saudi Arabia , who are not at war with anyone are Britain's biggest purchaser of arms (i.e weapons of war ) ![]() |

I'd also put it out there that talking war as the most viable solution is a massive fail as a human being ,nevermind a politician or advisor ...

the war in Yemen is technically a civil war, but Saudi Arabia are there fighting with British and American weapons. btw, the above clip is from 2012 and predates the Iran deal that ''solved'' the problem (until America stopped abiding by it's agreements). slightly longer better quality version here |

@ trunking - 10.11.18 - 11:31am Saudi Arabia are engaged in a proxy war with Iran and are actively involved in the war against the Houthi rebels of Yemen. They have been known to bomb busses with school children and are the ones responsible for the blockade that is leaving millions at the brink of death due to malnutrition and famine. Saudi Arabia are also the one's responsible, along with the West, in arming the FSA rebels in Syria and are also indirectly linked to the IS militants. Their interpretation of Islam is the type adopted by IS. I know , I was underlining how a ' peaceful country ' are such massive buyers of arms As much as ' peaceful nation's ' are such big makers and suppliers ... |

It was described by President Franklin D.Roosevelt as ''a date that will live in infamy'', a day on which the slaughter of 2,400 US troops drew America into Second World War and changed the course of history. Now, on the 70th anniversary of Japan's devastating bombardment of the US Pacific Fleet at Pearl Harbour, Hawaii, evidence has emerged showing that President Franklin D.Roosevelt was warned three days before the attack that the Japanese empire was eyeing up Hawaii with a view to ''open conflict.'' The information, contained in a declassified memorandum from the Office of Naval Intelligence, adds to proof that Washington dismissed red flags signalling that mass bloodshed was looming and war was imminent.'' |

''In anticipation of possible open conflict with this country,Japan is vigorously utilizing every available agency to secure military, naval and commercial information, paying particular attention to the West Coast, the Panama Canal and the Territory of Hawaii,'' stated the 26-page memo. Dated December 4, 1941, marked as confidential, and entitled ''Japanese intelligence and propaganda in the United States,'' it flagged up Japan's surveillance of Hawaii under a section headlined ''Methods of Operation and Points of Attack.'' |

There was obvious rise in Japanese military intention pre 1941 , even the baseball players flying back and forth could tell that ...they had their own plans for South east Asia against the UK , Holland and the US who all held a lot of it ( the Philippines , Malaya , Guam , Hong Kong etc) they didn't just attack Pearl Harbor that day they attacked them all , over seven hours .. They (the U.S )vastly underestimated them though , which at least played to the gov ,as public feeling about going to war had subsided dramatically until that day .. |

Have you seen 'Tora! Tora! Tora!'? I know it's only a movie but it is generally regarded as giving a pretty accurate portrayal of the build up to Pearl Harbour, missed intelligence opportunities, Roosevelt being warned and not taking the threat seriously and all the rest of it. Just now that the official accounts and documents have been declassified, they confirmed what people have always known or been able to work out from non-classified sources. It was on TV here not more than a month or so ago, with a new documentary about Pearl Harbour beforehand, which included and one would presume was produced specifically because of the newly declassified evidence, oh and to mark the anniversary... naturally. |

The US have, until the last day or so at least, been actively assisting the Saudis in their Yemeni operations, refuelling the warplanes that the US sold them and allowing them to unload more of their US(and British) made bombs and munitions. Trump is no less beholden to the neo-con warhawk's and the Pentagon's agendas than any of his predecessors have been.http://www.theguardian.com/world/2018/nov/10/us-stops-refuelling-of-saudi-led-coalition-aircraft-in-yemen-war |
