May day is an ancient day for commemoration, it links back to the ancient days of the druids who by deception used signs and wonders to convince people of their power. Truth is the earth and our place in is unique, what is seen as magic can be identified as science, and slight of hand.. |

Beltane is mentioned in some of the earliest Irish literature and is associated with important events in Irish mythology. Also known as Cetshamhain (first of summer), it marked the beginning of summer and was when cattle were driven out to the summer pastures.

Rituals were performed to protect the cattle, crops and people, and to encourage growth. Special bonfires were kindled, and their flames, smoke and ashes were deemed to have protective powers. The people and their cattle would walk around or between bonfires, and sometimes leap over the flames or embers.

These gatherings would be accompanied by a feast, and some of the food and drink would be offered to the aos s. Doors, windows, byres and livestock would be decorated with yellow May flowers, perhaps because they evoked fire. In parts of Ireland, people would make a May Bush:

typically a thorn bush or branch decorated with flowers, ribbons, bright shells and rushlights. Holy wells were also visited, while Beltane dew was thought to bring beauty and maintain youthfulness. Many of these customs were part of May Day or Midsummer festivals in other parts of Great Britain and Europe.

Beltane celebrations had largely died out by the mid-20th century, although some of its customs continued and in some places it has been revived as a cultural event.

The aos si (often referred to as spirits or fairies) were thought to be especially active at Beltane (as at Samhain)and the goal of many Beltane rituals was to appease them. Most scholars see the aos s as remnants of the pagan gods and nature spirits

Beltane was a spring time festival of optimism during which fertility ritual again was important, perhaps connecting with the waxing power of the sun

According to 17th-century historian Geoffrey Keating, there was a great gathering at the hill of Uisneach each Beltane in medieval Ireland, where a sacrifice was made to a god named Beil.

It's important to note that nationally, this day is not always granted to be a holiday, meaning there's no force to observe or attend infact quite the opposite.. we have on these isles the evidence of a powerful and vibrant community who marked everything with stone.. it's disappointing to see that adherents are so conceited on druidism that they protest of the loss of culture.. simply because this stuff didn't belong to druids, they just assumed it..

What is now known as science was falsely claimed to be the power of the druids, because these people educated each other by speaking truth to one another, but the followers were often conned with a trick or mystical quality..

It has been discussed about druids how they operated back in ancient days, the thing known as stone henge is a display of their knowledge and prominence of a great culture, basically saying we're as good as it gets in that age.. the number of an size of these monoliths along with the vast areas they cover.. druids however supposed themselves as spiritual leaders..

An example of the knowledge and deception is a matter regarding something called 'lay lines' which are basically crevices on the earth surface, within these gaps can be found an electromagnetic field, and walking into them with alloy divining rods in your hands will turn the metal alloy to align with the current flow..

A ley-line is a straight fault line in the earths tectonic plates; this is a scientific fact. Through these cracks in the earths tectonic plates the magnetic energies released are very powerful indeed. Many people have claimed to have felt the energy surge up their body, and some have claimed that they have blacked out, as the surge was that powerful. |
