Massive day of sport today. The British Grand Prix at Silverstone.  The men's singles tennis final at Wimbledon. Oh and England v New Zealand in the World Cup cricket FINAL at Lords...

I live near Silverstone and it's rained, still spitting, very cloudy just generally damp, miserable, shyte. Not the sort of weather for F1, though at least it offers a hope it won't be the usual F1 race, like watching paint dry. |

The cricket is being shown live on Channel 4, after Sky Sports agreed to share their coverage with the whole nation  . It will be the first time an England men's international cricket match has been shown on free-to-air terrestrial television for nearly 13yrs.

Jones has only gone and added Brown, Thorley and Dombrandt to the training squad with Cips, Watson and Underhill going off site for a conditioning programme. This squad is all beast mode.

Not really a fan of tennis or sports in general so I have nothing to contribute here lol I did draw the Wimbledon logo and menz Wimbledon trophy on my former bf's request. Honestly, the menz trophy look so much nicer than the womenz. Don't you agree?

But honestly tho, it's not cute that men get a proper trophy whereas women get a fugly dish/plate. There's probably a retrograde sexist reason behind this, but can Wimbledon keep the same design for both please? Thoughts? |

I'm all for equal pay but the women should have to play the best of 5 sets like the men do, instead of just 3. Interestingly, there has been talk of them reducing the number of sets the men play down to 3.
