So a 12yo boy went head-on with a bus in Birmingham the other day, and came off worse. In light of the death of their son, the parents have called for the scooters to be banned. I'm not sure how much more banned they want. The kid was already banned. Private ones are banned, and a driving licence is required to hire one - as well as top-tier pocket money. So what do you think about these bloody things..? |

Its a big issue everywhere. Here we see ppl come up with the dumbest things on them. A whole family climbed on one. Ppl drive them in the winter on ice and break there bones. Too many accidents. They rent them out and they are everywhere to access.

Did the parents blaming the scooter by any chance buy it for the kid in the first place? If not, how did a 12yr old kid get his hands on one and why wasn't he under adult supervision? I mean who lets their 12yr old kids do anything unsupervised these days, let alone ride an e-scooter on a public highway?

Some of them are tweaked to go 60kmph and pass cars. I would not want to stand on these tiny wheels and catch a pothole or sidewalk.

We don't. They are meant to be ceased if you don't have a full licence but you see kids zooming around on them all the time

Here you can just grab one and pay with a smartphone. Kids ride them all the time. Can leave it in the city boundaries anywhere and locate the nearest to you on your phone.

Watched a YouTube video recently of some guys magnet fishing in an Amsterdam canal, they must have pulled out about a dozen or so rental e-scooters from this one spot, and a couple of guns.

My uncle drives a electric taxi and sets up the scooters to charge and back. He told me a few stories how ppl troll him. They threw one in the river and one he could not see it at first because it was pulled into a tree top with a rope  Also found some on roofs etc. They use a tracker to locate them.

They keep a record on how many people have injured themselves in e-scooter related accidents etc.

Here too they run statistics. Usually its mostly boys and men and some young girls. Seems like women are not as dumb to climb on these killers.
