Loud doesn't always mean mighty.

The russian dictator Stalin tried to have Yugoslavia's dictator general Tito assassinated. A few months went by and Stalin received a letter from Tito, that said. Could you please stop sending agents to try and kill me. We have already caught 5 of them. If you persist, I will only have to send one Stalin gave up trying to kill Tito. point being 1 letter saved a possible war.

I agree.. sometimes silence can show mighty.. but my question is if they say pen is mightier than the sword, why do they agree that action are mightier than words..

as an ex prison officer, i can honestly tell you that, you can argue with someone for hours and get nowhere. A punch in the mouth takes seconds and gets your point across far more effectively not that i advocate violence but it's the only language some people understand.

Options have repercussions, though.

Some say they were hit as a kid and it didn't do them any harm. So they'll give their kid a slap for being naughty.
I say, if you think it's okay to hit a kid, then obviously it did do you harm.

It's one thing to get a job done quickly, and another entirely to do it properly.

So does that mean both sword and words can be mightier than each other given the circumstances.. right?

A case by case analysis is always going to beat a generalisation.

One word can make the universe stop spinning. One pen can stop ten thousand sword flying
