the hospital (Stoke Mandeville ?) knew but decided he raised too much money for them so they looked the other way. I'll never understand this mentality. it's far more damaging to discover years later that an organisation was complicit in allowing it to continue. board members should be charged and jailed so it's clear to everyone going forward that you don't hide crimes, never mind the most morally reprehensible ones. maybe public boarding school educated higher ups are just far too normalised to the idea that kids get sexually assaulted as a matter of course. |

I recently learnt that Savile's brother was just as much of a wrong un as Jimmy was and the two were both likely accomplices in some of each others crimes. There is also evidence suggesting that Savile may well have been involved in the deaths of at least 2 children but the police were never able to prove it. ![]() |

He had protection, that's how he got away with it. He likely had information on certain people that ensured he got it, in exchange for keeping that information to himself.

When I was at primary school, they made us all write out our letters to Jim'll Fix It and sent them in for us. Luckily, he never fixed it for any of us ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I can't be the only one who never enjoyed his TV presence at all can I ? not saying I knew he was a wrong-un, didn't even know there was such a thing, but there always was something unlikable or mildly off putting about him. the show format was great but I always lost a bit of interest when it was back to the studio and his stupid chair. |

Sadly I always enjoyed Jim'll fix it. Mind you at that age I never had any knowledge of adult things. Before he was exposed a mate of mine said he had heard serious rumors,I was gobsmacked tbh. It's the same with Garry Glitter in that it's easy to see now in retrospect. |
