Can also be restated as absolutes hence implying antithesis. No middle ground. Either or. For instance christian original sin philosophy begins with a premise that all are born under satan's shadow in sin and if you don't take an active step, i.e. embrace certain beliefs, you're automatically serving satan since you're not in God's camp, the good side. Regardless of how you lived you gonna burn.

Also can be, Either the koran, book of mormon, etc is true or it isn't. If mormon is true for instance, only the few millions who accept it will be saved. The rest, even other christians are in Satan's camp. Etc.

In many doctrines everyone falls under two mutually exclusive categories, the good and the evil, or righteous and the wicked. Neutrality in these perspectives falls under the evil/wicked and is thus regarded in the day of reckoning. Neutrality or non-commital seen through the eyes of these beliefs is therefore evil @phal. It is absolutism.

For instance there's only two destinations at the day of reckoning in Islamic and christian thought, paradise or hell. No third place. Paradise for believers. Hell for everyone else, that includes agnostics and all neutral positions. You don't have to actively do anything to qualify for satan's camp, you just have to not accept certain proposed ideas.
