prophet is second to apostle which is the highest office a person can hold in a church. so if a woman can be called to be a prophetess then she can be called to be an ordained minister even to the office of pastor as long as she does not usurpp authority over her husband

Idk how you interpret that, but I dont think Paul is necessarily describing a hierarchy in the church. If he is, where are the elders/overseers? Remember the elders aka bishops were the ones to whom the task of ruling the local church was given. 1 Peter 5:1-2. Its not a hierarchy.

Btw yes there were prophetesses. Just like the other gifts of the spirit weren't gender discriminative. But ruling was committed to mature spiritual men, the elders.

Yes unfortunately visitor8 is right. As much as i'd love seeing women clergy. That text alone won't do it On3n3ss. As purest1 states, the Apostle Paul mentions the Elders or Overseers, and he has correctly defined them as what we know to be Bishops.

The termt prophet itself is very vague in and of itself. It was nowhere held as near, the office of Presbyter or Elder or Overseer or Apostle oneness.
