Assuming that the universe or universes are a result of blind physical processes following laws that came from wherever they do, then what could possibly be the first step taking non existence and nothingness into existence and somethingness? |

Obviously I can't give you the answer to what the first cause or step was. But one universal law is that nothing is permanent. So even nonexistence is impermanent.

Mind is limited to thinking about 'things.' Nothing is by definition the absence of a thing, but by definition is a 'thing.' . . . So nothing is really something..  .. And the majority of everything is nothing, and it connects everything, everywhere.

The present moment is dependent on many things for its seeming existence..not least of all the mind that sees it as a moment. All things are dependent upon the mind..and the mind is just a label itself..it has no independent existence.

Tao but Prop's question included the 1st step taken from nothingness to become somethingness... Personally I don't think that before our Universe there was nothingness (energy is never created,never destroyed) .. .

Then nothingness is just something undefined.. Or semi-defined? ..Wave being an intermediary state between somethhingness and nothingness? (wave-particle duality in quantum physics)

I can't be aware of my own non-existence as I can't be conscious of not being conscious. Billion years or even more have passed and I didn't know it .My nonexistence could've been permanent or not... It's frustrating to find out
