What id like 2 know is,why i cant buy a full size mmc card. The card that came with 6230i is 32mb. nokia online have 512mb 35quid with adapter.. What i dont get is nokia site advertise it as MMC and not a mobile mmc.. Any idea? Also,on the net,some retailers have pics of full size but when checkout,they are supplied with adapter |

Apparently,i cannot use a MMC+ card. Iv read about mv mmc.are these genuinly compatible with 6230i? Some sites are doing kingston and sandisk for 10quid. Pmsl. 40quid in shops,wtf? Whos got card and where did u get it from. Oh,and how much? Iv read that RS MMC isnt dual voltage,so its not compatible

In the 6230i phone manual it says 512mb max but you might be able to get an Adapter to but a min sd card in there

Yeh,i read the 512mb bit. What it doesnt say in the manual is whats compatible. Theres mmc, mobile mmc, mmc+, mv mmc. dont think a micro or sd is meant 2go in 6230i slot. Gawd,i want2 order 1 asap in time 4xmas..

I ve got a 512mb in mine is a san disc mmc mobile thats wat u want it has addaptor u need to use both got last yr carphone ware house cost 35 pound if you can get for 10pound go for it

Yeh,the adapter makes up the length of a normal full size card. Carphone warehouse still selling 512mb at around 39quid. Thats what bugged me,how sites sell at 10 quid and there abouts. So,its an ordinary sandisk mobile mmc then. They offer a lifetime guarentee.

Kingston website are selling their 512mb around tenner,so it cant be dodgy lol. Nokia sell nokia mmc 512mb at 35 quid. I saw kingston mmc at tesco,36.99

Kingston seem good price n have lifetime warranty .The smaller mmcs that come with adaptor a r dual voltage Rsmmc /reduced size mmc/kingston have discontinued normal mmc and use this type and supply the adaptor as they claim its optimise performance

This is where the problem lays. Mobile Mmc is duel voltage.. What rs mmc is,im at a loss. basically,a mmc card is roughly half the height of a full size,the adapter makes it full length, so in future,it could be used in other phones.. I read kingston have 5yr guarentee

i can see how a reduced size card optimizes performance at the end of the day.. i am wary of scandisks selling at ten quid,twelve quid. Argos and phone shops got hell of a mark up then rofl.. like i said,kingstons website have them at 10quid,so thats ok with me.. Scandisk website said 35dollars or summat like that lol

Scandisk are reputable anyway. kingston are so so. Both in memory business,usb and things..tesco had a big mark up on kingston,so its the stores that bump up price.

Confuzzled. i been told NOT to use MMC+ card cos its not dual voltage. Yet sites says kingston MMC+ is compatible with 6230i.. And read that an mv rs mmc is compatible.

i find most phone shops are confused  i think if the card manufactures website lists it as compatible with your model.. I got a 256mb kingston RSMMC other day and it said lifetime warranty.It said 5year for usb flash drives

Lol.iv just been on kingston site.it says lifetime warranty. Retailers say 5yrs. Same as sandisk. Anyway,iv ordered kingston mmc+ 512mb. 9.30 plus postage 3quid. Im certain now that the 32mb card that comes with 6230i is mmc and not mobile mmc. Iv read reviews in forums that lots use kingston mmc+

Haha,yeh. u should see the price carphone warehouse sell sims for..19.95 for orange and o2.they were 29.99 at one time. 14.95 for voda. Mind u,argos sell o2 for 4.99 lol
