Its a shame realy, reboots and apps forever crashing or just not working properly are driving me nuts. Its such a sweet device hardware wise (camera, USB OTG, HDMI and build quality) but the software is just killing it for me to. :(

in my opinion its the most stable new release iv owned, only had 1 crash, iv had it a month now, had no lock ups also, altho i have read alot of people having reboot issues etc, my advice is if you get a dodgy 1, get it replaced for 1 that works

same when n900 launched, some people were getting reboots, my n900 has never crashed once in the year ive owned it. so you should deffinatly get another before you sell it.

ive had my n8 just over a week and aint had no problem with mine its the best nokia ive had and ive had nearly all the n series mines being charged at the moment and im using my trusted n97 . Pw just wait for the the updates or exchange it explaining to ever you got it from about the problem. Battery life is very good cam is brill. Build is good. Every thing about it is all good

What Biggzy said. I have had no problem with mine. If you only had it three days why don't you just return it?

Good luck, it's probably just a buggy handset.

this proves its hard to please every people's needs,,,,, people want to own such sophisticated gadgets the type not found even on james bond movies and blame nokia for that matter,, why dont you move to androids and stop complaining.

No handset or manufacturer is perfect. Try another handset and if you are still not happy return it.

Eldar at Mobile-Review posted an investigation they've done of what could be the cause of reboots and dead N8s, high temperatures, its not fact but its a possibility and it made sense as when mine reboots its when im ushng HSDPA to browse and download at Ovi Store, the phone gets realy hot and then freezes and reboots, he also did a test at 40degree temp with a bunch of N8s playing high quality video, makes for an interesting read, but its all just speculation for now: http://is.gd/hAvQc

tbh i dnt know what to think polo, why would it get hot? Iv worked in a phone shop with many phones and not heard of any phone failing coz of heat, they do get warm but not so they would break, batterys are normaly the culprit of a warm device, maybe a bad batch of batterys getting to hot and damaging the device? Im not sure what it cud be but lets hope nokia fix it
