Did you need USB drivers for windows 2000 ? I went from 98 to XP so I don't know . I do have a bunch of windows 3.11 install floppies though . ![]() |

Here is the result: 1) you dont need usb drivers 2) providing you make sure you have service pack 4 for win 2000 it will work with mobile broadband.

In another words you can say anything prior to windows 2000 limits you regarding functionality.

I guess guys use ancient software cause it costed them a lot. And I think its only people who use illegal versions that make fun of people who use old software cause they don't know its true value

@veerz o's is an software. Just a thing which reduces in value with time . Like you paint the walls of your house. After few years it needs new paint to be applied other wise you know it'll suck (vomit)

You know I Think apple are the worst computers where updates are concerned. Lets face it any pc with xp on works with just about everything and I Have an old dell pc at home from the late 90's that the previous owner upgraded to xp and it runs it ok considering its age. Yet I Have an apple computer from 2003 and I Cant even download the latest version of firefox cos 0sx panther wont support it!

And yet the old dell has firefox 3.66, service pack 3 and all the other updates. I cant even download the latest version of vlc player on the mac either. Mac owners claim the reason why their machines are so expensive new is cos they are more future proof than windows computers. Well that doesnt seem to be the case does it? Comments? The obvious solution is to update the 0sx on the mac

But to update the mac osx would cost money but updating the old dell cost nothing. Now tell me what computer is the most future proof a windows or mac computer? This doesnt encourage me to ever buy a new mac even if I Was willing to pay the ridiculous price of a new mac running snow leoperd. They are twice the price of the average pc and no more powerfull.

Lets face it you could buy a monster of a pc for the price of even the cheapest mac at around 800 english pounds sterling.

Yeah. Now iam wandering if you could get a mobile dongle working on windows 98? Thats the next one! I Think you could safely say I Will never get it working on windows 3.1 though lol. Windows 95 was the first multitasking operating system if memory serves me correctly.
