im on a free trial, i just done the updates that went ok, but when i click on norton insight there were some untrusted files saying scan needed, so i done the scan and went ok, but there are still untrusted files that i dont know how to get rid of them,, any help would be great,, thanks in advance,,,,,,,,, |

quarentine them, norton will then send the files back to the labs to be analised. then you will get a message via nortons interface whether the files are safe or not, it will take anything from 1 hour to 1 week normaly

you really need to stop using norton and go to pc world and buy kaspersky internet security . 2010 with 3 licences is only 15 quid

but saying as your on a trial then you should look here at kaspersky http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/antivirus-security/740_7131_70158_xx_xx/xx-criteria.html well worth it for a years full protection thats better than 99.9 percent of other antiviruses.

also that version on sale WONT work on win 7 so if you buy it come back here for a link to correct version . dont try to install that version on the disk on windows 7

not sure about that as a m8 bought it and it works on his win7 64bit. 17.99 i think he payed. but i can ask him and get a reply by 7pm tonight.

just quarentine the files. it should then ask if you want them checked or it will auto check. i cant be to accurate as i havent used norton for 4 years. (i put it on my old athlon when i first got it, it lasted a week)

yeah jay i know that version works on win7 so did older versions but it caused instability and reduced protection in some cases . if you look at the compatibility listing it dsnt show win7 for that reason . 9.0.0.736 is the only version of kis 2010 that is fully supported on win7

no mate they dont auto update . will have to download that link and install over older version or use removal tool and install it as a fresh copy
