1 guy managed to find x-plane 10 performs on average 5 percent better than the 2500k but fails to count like for like ie comparing his fx to the 2600k or old i7 both of which outperform the fx on that very game... seriously its stopped being funny and is getting annoying that they cant accept the reality that they are payng more and getting less... there logic is that because x-plane 10 will use as many cpus as you can throw at it, that its the new benchmark standard... the reality is that any

more than 8 threads , you dont see any noticable change in gameplay unless you throw more than 3 gfx cards at it as well...

benchmarks set using intel compilers and libaries from what ive heard,,, even heard intel settled the claim with amd but by then the damage was already done,,, but what would i know about such things

its not even that bby intel have better chips for less money so if you want budget power intel are the choice of the discerning buyer.

thing is intels x86 is based on amd's own design. meaning that anything that an intel chip can do an amd 1 should be able to do just as well if not better... those claims were made by people who dont program so wouldnt know the first thing about compiler codepaths and libraries.

Selective benchmarks are stupid anyway. Anyone worth their salt will use a bunch of benchmarks, most modern as possible and some old stuff too to represent average user. Intel easily wins overall. It can never win every single time in every single bench, nothing does. But if it wins 8/10 comfortably which the intels typically do and don't lose by much on what it does lose then it is clearly vastly superior

Cyrix, formed from former texas instruments staff and designers. Didn't get along so well with TI. They merged with another company in the late nineties which ironically was sw*llowed up by the ever expanding TI last year....

Wait just a minute. I remember a video demonstrating the new AMD a8 apu out-multitasking an intel cpu... Not that i'm a fanboy, just got myself an i3 laptop. But i wanted some clarification

the amd apu is a stunning little cpu/gpu combo... oerfect for a childs first pc or a 2/3world contry where costs of dedicated hardware can be prohibative... my gripe is with the prats buying fx cpu's and tryint to tell any 1 that will listen that the fx is a worth competitior to the sandybridge 2500k which it just isnt... they even posted benches that used 8 threads because the 2500k only has 4. the end result was the fx beat the 2500k in 3 tests my a small margin but to them it means the cpu i

some of my friends are amd fan boys, looking for every reason to say there fx8150 is better then my 2500k, and they say the 8150 system is cheaper(this I haven't checked out as the 2500k system cost me nearly nothing)
