It keeps losing power like stop spinning then about a min later spin again for a good while then power down then windows freezes then it would start up again when hard drive spins. does this mean my hard drive is about to die?. or a loose connection? |

try the connections and see ! once that's ruled out you could try a new cable if its still happening when you have a new cable then there may be a problem with the drive
|

like asurreym said, no reason why anyone should boot from hdds, not with all the cheap flash on the market
