When u insert cd/dvd on a laptop, its shown as a blank cd even if its a written one.This worries me alot. Please anyone with a solution to assist me.Thanks. |

You can download run microsoft fix it portable from microsoft's website. It usually scans and fixes errors if it finds any.

If the above does not work. Search for a firmware update for the cd/ DVD rom. Update to the latest version. But don't skip any. Eg. If its v1 and latest is v6. First update to 2.3.4.5.

If it's an old laptop, your lens has probably gone bad. You may need to get a new drive.

yh but new ones give dat prob too i got a laptop a mini one dat dont come wid a drive an i bought a dvd writer drive an dat what its showing me but it works an am running win7
