I have 3.5 yrs old Acer Emachine which continuously beeps (11 to 18 loud) and then shows up windows memory diagnostic tool. also after Starting windows 7 the start menu is blinking. This all began after the guy at p*wn shop ran the memory diagnostic tool. every time I start there is continuous beeping followed by windows boot manager that shows 2 options: Start windows 7 and the windows memory diagnostic tool. Googled the problem but in vain. |

 windows 7 runs fine above core2duo and minimum of 4GB, CORE i3 a minimum of 2gb RAM I think u shd downgrade ur system to windows xp professionaL and laptop service is necessary cz ur laptop too old @3.5 yearrr... old ,,,,,,, so whatsup u waiting pls wash the laptop dry clean and then also provbLem nt solved change the memory stick with new one in few dollars. Thanks hope u shd clean your laptop's dust inside out side

@newt182, Thanks, I tried your suggestion and I'm now on BIOScentral, the beep codes I'm getting is starts with 4 - and continues after pause. Can't find exact pattern on the website though. Or I may need to hear it with more concentration.

@1sstarr5 It's just my spare laptop, and it always had windows 7 home basic from beginning. It has 1 GB RAM with dual core. Although I recently formatted it with windows 7 ultimate oem which I got with my other laptop. |

Got the problem, it was the keyboard. Sold it for like 30 bucks. No headaches lol
