Agree with that , The 7950 is a good card and at the moment you can find them for about 170 pounds . My brother has the asus top version and its an overclocking monster

GTX670/7950 good price/performance sweetspot, at a point where I wouldn't buy anything faster because it'll lose a lot of money in maybe 6 months

none of the above, reason being they are consumer grade electronics cards, if your wanting top of the line stuff your better going for a dedicated GPU running cuda and the likes, stuff used to make animated movies and likes. cards will always go in steps its just how deep your willing to let your pocket get. there is also the problem of bottleneck from the cpu and ram installed just not being fast enough for the gpu to work at full cap

I have a quadro 2000 in my workstation and have tried some games on it and the performance is cr*p it just isn't made for games ,so recommending a quadro card for gaming is idiotic

they just dropped the price of the 780 from 650 to 500 because of the 290x and now the 290 is as fast as a 290x and is 399 ![]() ![]() |

@ veronee - 4.11.13 - 09:37pm none of the above, reason being they are consumer grade electronics cards, if your wanting top of the line stuff your better going for a dedicated GPU running cuda and the likes, stuff used to make animated movies and likes. cards will always go in steps its just how deep your willing to let your pocket get. there is also the problem of bottleneck from the cpu and ram installed just not being fast enough for the gpu to work at full cap You can get the best graphic card out there but you wont see its power if your monitor refresh rate is cr*p. I'm will put most of my money into a 4K monitor. |

everyone who gets a titan over a gtx 780 is just buying a bragging right . the 780 is even a bit faster now in gaming for half the price.

Only? It'll be worth half that at best in 6 months which was my point. But if you drop that on a next gen card in 6 months it'll be a year or more before it's worth much less
