Use the Nokia connection manager. i forget what it's called and use the 'myMTN' or 'internet' APN and phone number (star)99(hash). That's it. For more search wapandMobile forum for 'Phone as Modem' topics. Good Luck :)

Only the use of Nokia PC suite allows you to use your phone as a modem. Otherwise, you visit the network provider office for setting. I ve been using my nokia 6085 as a modem with Suite. The only problem is that its expensive. I wish there are setting that will bypass charges as some cheat for networks are helping to browse on wap browsers
