hi! has anybody tried to transfer files between two computers using mobile phones as modems? i'd like to try this during the happy hour. has anyone got any experience with this or have you at least heard anyone did it. |

No, never heard of anyone doing it with gsm. Wouldnt it be easier and faster to use a floppy disk? Lol.

it wouldn't be faster if your friend lived in another city. my professor told me i could use hyperterminal (which comes with windows).

I see, i didnt think it would of been that big distance. I dont know what its like having a phone as a modem or what it looks like, but wouldnt it be possible to send emails + attachments?

It would only be possible via GPRS as you would use APNs.

take a look at http://www.laplink.com as there is software there that allows you to remote control a laplink enabled pc using any type of connection
