Finally found out what the fuss was about, watched it on Blu-ray earlier. Fantastic film... As for the comparisons to The Matrix, there's no contest. Inception took a similar idea in a completely diferent direction...much more complex and subtle then ''We're in the Matrix, reality isn't real, overthrow the AIs, blah blah blah''. Had more depth of both story and emotion.

And face it, Neo was also a bit of a tit...plus Revolution kinda killed any goodwill the original had. At least Reloaded had the freeway chase, but even that was poor overall. Compare story, characters, plot, acting, design, soundtrack etc Inception beats them into the dust.

inception rocked as a film, the matrix comparison is more because of the fight seen in the second layer of the dream. which never got boring like the matrix.
